What we do
Dig through dead storefronts, out-of-print catalogs, defunct netlabels, and abandoned digital archives to find independent records and legacy soundtracks that never made it to streaming.
Identify rights holders, clear licenses, and confirm ownership chains so every release is legally clean — from independent artists and labels to publishers and estates.
Repair the audio, fix the metadata, sequence the record properly, and deliver it to every major DSP — so forgotten catalog reaches the platforms listeners use today.

Why we run 2009 Records
Every year, dozens of digital-only records from the 1990s and 2000s fall off the internet — independent albums stranded on dead storefronts, soundtracks pulled from old platforms, releases that never reached streaming at all. Artists and rights holders stop getting paid. Listeners can't find the music. The record quietly goes missing. 2009 Records exists to reverse that — one release at a time.
